Dear all,
We've set up a kannel instance that uses MySQL storage for the DLR
messages. The problem is, that this table currently holds 142000+ rows,
which is definitely not the way it should be ("DLR: 142994 queued, using
mysql storage" as the status page says). We've developed a complex bulk-SMS application which has an interfacefor receiving the DLR information through DLR-URL - and it works fine as far as I know (though due to the cheap SMSC routes we use, I can't tell if the DLRs are okay - maybe some SMSCs did not even provide DLRs for some networks).
Furthermore: - all of the rows in the database are having: status=0, boxc empty, DLR-URL set properly, timestamp = 0000-00-00 00:00:00 - one of our SMSC partners told us, that our system (Kannel) is not receiving DLRs, which confuses their servers, that's why they temporarily switched off DLR delivery We've even set up a separate Apache instance (port :88) for receiving the large number of DLR-URL calls, which should make Kannel wait until free Apache processes can receive the DLR-URL calls (hundreds of DLRs are hard to handle quickly in such a complex system using MySQL, which uses table level locking :/ ). I hope there's no problem with that. I know that it sounds a bit complicated, but does anyone have experience with such issues? Thanks in advance!
