Hi list,
Aarno, my comment is that for following reason alone it is worth doing -
removing unnecessary headers can reducing the number of SMS messages
required to carry the data, so it can save money.
As a bonus it can help resolve issues with phones that do not like
certain headers.
As long as the removed headers are not mandatory, I cannot see any problem.
I have a plan to add this feature as OMA-EMN wappush messages do not
work if some headers like Content-length,
Encoding-Version but I haven't had the time to do any more work on this
I will try to get to it soon unless someone else wants to do it.
I think it would be very difficult to do based on phone as Hillel suggests.

Hi List,
disabling headers the receiver does not like seems to be of
general interest.
Any comments, Paul ?

Hi Aarno,
Any idea if there is a plan in the near future to add a ppg
configuration
option to Kannel CVS to allow for phones that have problems with the
standard WAP Push headers, without needing to change the wap_push_ppg.c
code?
Or is there a way to dynamically change the WAP Push based on the
recipient's mobile handset, by first finding out what is the recipient's
mobile handset?
Thanks
