There are already explanation how to use test_ppg. But it is a test program.
Has it been used for PI ? (I hav eused kannel mainly for mms).

Why not just complete the userguide with examples?
So all the questions will require only one answer: Read The Nice Manual. ;)

Besides that, I support the WIKI idea. It is more permanent and
browsable than an IRC chat. Anyone can contribute. The IRC may be very
useful for new people aproaching Kannel, but not as a reference on how
to get dlr or wap push working.

I've seen complete tutorials that are only found in the mail archives,
sometimes, not very easily. (One I can remember is about dlr's, from
Davy Chan).

I like idea, too. Answer to the question "How to send WAP Push with
 Kannel"
should be added to the userguide, too. (For sending WAP Push you need
 a Push
Initiator (PI), and Kannel is just a gateway. However, for testing
 purposes, there are
PI test_ppg.c and script check_ppg.sh, which you fin d useful.)

I had proposed something like this a long time, even wanted to host
the same. However didn't get much of feedback on it.

It would surely be nice to have it.

If everyone is interested and is ready I would like to take the
oppurtunity and setup the same. Please let me know if that is ok.

Anand

There are many things that are asked and asked and asked all the time
on the list, and it's quite annoying...

I think the bigger example is "how to send a Wap Push"

Wouldn't it be a good idea, to setup a Kannel Wiki, where people can post articles and how to do this, and how to do that, example confs,
etc?
This way people can first check on the Wiki and find lots of useful
info there...

and if someone does not check the Wiki and asks again, it will
just be
replying "Check it at http://wiki.kannel.org";

What do you think?

Juan
