The operative word here is "floating". When it is ripe for picking you will know.

IMHO once the meta-data and other patches floating around are voted
and commited.

The code on CVS has been production-quality for a lot of time, and
there's a lot of improvements on CVS already.

The development work on Kannel has been wonderful recently. So many
good patches are now available on the CVS.

IMO i think we should have another stable version that will include
all the recent development work soon.
