I did have 1.9 installed in this session, in addition to 1.4; when I first
installed it complained about the lack of 1.7+.
I'm currently making some changes based on
http://wiki.laptop.org/go/Sugar_on_Ubuntu_Linux (which I didn't notice
before), and I believe some updates to the build were made to bring in
gtk+ 2.10. There still seem to be some problems, but I'll try to
summarize them once the build has completed more.
