#155: PCI Pin A needs to be routed to a real interrupt --------------------------+------------------------------------------------- Reporter: JordanCrouse | Owner: rsmith Type: defect | Status: new Priority: blocker | Milestone: BTest-1 Component: linuxbios | Resolution: Keywords: | --------------------------+------------------------------------------------- Comment (by rminnich):
hi, I don't see Richard's patch but there is a really simple solution to this. Put the cafe INTA hack from Jordan's patch into the mainboard code. This is why we want a btest mainboard, for this type of new change. So, you make a btest mainboard directory, you put the northbridge.c patch in mainboard.c, you do that one change to Config.lb for mainboard, and you're done. There is no reason to put this kind of very-mainboard- specific stuff in the northbridge.c that I can see. This is easy, I figure Richard, you can make the call, but I hope whatever we do here won't break the other GX2 boards out there -- Jordan's current patch probably will. We can try to get all elegant about this, but ... this CPU is end of life. I don't see it as worth the effort. thanks ron -- Ticket URL: <http://dev.laptop.org/ticket/155#comment:7> One Laptop Per Child <http://laptop.org/> _______________________________________________ Devel mailing list Devel@laptop.org http://mailman.laptop.org/mailman/listinfo/devel
