So the question isn't what desktop the user is using, but rather what desktops, if any, other users on the machine are using. Have you confirmed that you're able to query another user's desktop session once you know which desktop it is? The ability to do such things should be quite limited for security reasons, even though Boinc has a legitimate use case. Björn Persson
