I wouldn't worry too much about this. If you include the backcompat
Cpanel::JSON::XS package then the packaged RPM will "provide"
perl(Cpanel::JSON::XS), which will satisfy the dependencies.
I'm anticipating a fairly smooth switch-over actually (I'm Fedora
maintainer of the perl-Cpanel-JSON-XS package). The only issues that I
expect to crop up would be where people expect to use the
cpanel_json_xs script (unless you're going to provide a backcompat
script too) or have a dependency on the package name rather than the
module, though that too would probably be fixed by having the
perl-JSON-Safe RPM package obsolete+provide perl-Cpanel-JSON-XS.
