I think the problem is not Xvfb. Xvfb creates an independent X server and the
aplication should connect to it. Hence another running X server is irrelevant.
I suspect the application rather cannot locate GL libraries in the mock
enviroment than that there was something wrong in the Xvfb. Are you sure you
build-require all the needed packages in the spec file?

By the way shouldn't you add "-d" option the xvfb-run program?
