I also disagree with the reasons which are usually given for the change and don't think it is *any* improvement on being more welcoming. To achieve that the focus would have to be more on the inviting and mentoring part. There seems to be a group of people which are very vocal with regard to this topic and also seem to believe those reasons are valid and important, so if this fixes their issue I'm fine with that. I don't do it on the git-servers I host, but for Fedora this was decided, implemented, didn't break too much and probably won't be reverted. It doesn't make packaging not much more difficult, so I don't see any major disadvantages to having it this way. All the best, Astra
