It is better to use the dev (snapshot) release as built on https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/design-suite/blender-3d/build/2527373/as starting point in this case. I haven't got the time to fully update the spec fixing imath dependency but it seems resolving openexr issue.
