Hi,
I am a first year PhD student in astronomy at the Université de
Montréal, in Canada. I use Fedora as my main OS for the past year (I
have been using Linux since 2018) and I am new to contributing to
Fedora. I have contributed to a few open-source projects in the past
(mainly Python software used for astronomy) and I would like to get
more involved.
I am interested in packaging software I use that is not yet available
in Fedora. This includes astronomy-related Python packages (I just sent
a similar email to the python-devel mailing list) and applications (CLI
or GUI), but also more generic tools like some language servers, which
I use a lot in Neovim.
For now, I am still learning about packaging for Fedora, hopefully I
will be able to submit a first package soon.
