Because a lot of git frontends didn't support this properly. We actually added features to Pagure to support the transition, some of which aren't present still in other forges. I actually wanted this for years because I locally maintain git repos of packages that I maintain or review across multiple distributions, so having distributions use unique default branch names makes it easier for me to mirror and push all of them into a single repository. -- 真実はいつも一つ!/ Always, there's only one truth! -- _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- devel@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to devel-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
