Hi,
I noticed this has been untouched for almost a year (new major version
available):

It seems it's owned by the multimedia SIG, so maybe someone from there
is on here and can comment.
We are. It's vacation season, though, so people might just be away.
Or in my case just had a busy week :)
If we want to fork it off to a SFML2 package for transition, I'm ok
with that, but I have 2 of my packages now that need SFML3, and is
blocked. One package I'm holding off an update, and the other I'm
bundling SFML until it's resolved.
I'm not familiar with SFML, so I don't know how disruptive it'd be.
Thanks for raising this, though. We'll take a look.
Pinging Davide on Matrix should work. He's responsive there.
You're welcome to join the SIG Matrix room and talk to us directly,
too.

Yeah, I'm not opposed with upgrading this but we need to evaluate what's
using the current version, and whether they can be switched over to v3
or not (and in the latter case make a SFML2 compat package as you
suggested). I can try and take a look sometime next week, but if you'd
like to get started on the impact check help is definitely appreciated.
Cheers
Davide
