Hi all, I would like to formally introduce Allison King to the Fedora community. Allison will be managing the changes process for Fedora Linux 44 while I am out on leave from October 28, 2025 to April 20, 2026.
You will start to see Allison's name attached to the F44 changes from now on while I onboard her to the process. Please allow some grace while Allison gets up to speed on how we do things, and please also bear in mind that while Allison has kindly (and happily) agreed to help manage the F44 changes process, this is not her main job and she will be working on Fedora part-time for this next release cycle to manage the F44 changes. All that being said, Allison is a complete boss and the changes process for F44 is in extremely capable hands :) You can reach out to Allison in all the usual places - email - alk...@redhat.com matrix (to be created), etc should you need to contact her. Feel free to loop me in too so I can help Allison help you, help me! I also would like to let you folks know that Allison and I are experimenting with Claude CLI to try to automate some of the change process. Right now we are looking at how we can successfully generate automatic discussion.fedoraproject.org posts using Claude to pull the information directly from the wiki, and then have it update the wiki with the right links and categories once the posts to discussion and announcement email goes live. The email announcement is also being generated by Claude, but this goes to a local text file with the wiki and discussion post link included which we then manually copy-paste to the email body and then press send as humans. We have literally just started trialling this as of Tuesday this week, with two posts gone live on discourse using Claude. One seemed to be a success, and the other was a failure in discourse, so if you have suggestions or feedback, or spot anything amiss, please let me know so I can take it back to our experiment sessions to try to improve Claude's posting :) Thanks for your patience while Allison and I work on transitioning over the change wrangler duties for F44 over the next few weeks, and please welcome Allison to the Fedora Project!
