Sep 14, 2025 2:01:06 PM Marcin Juszkiewicz <mjuszkiew...@redhat.com>:

Recently I decided to retire it from Fedora. It is a niche package, very low user base (if at all).

If anyone wants to use it then 'pip install system-calls' will work fine.

Do I need anything more than "fedpkg retire DESCRIPTION" command? I took it from "Fedora packaging" documentation:
Hi,

You're welcome to retire the package with fedpkg retire, but you may also choose to orphan the package so another maintainer can pick up the package and start maintaining it if they so wish. If nobody picks up an orphaned package after 6 weeks, it will get retired automatically.

Best,
Maxwell
