Hi,

This is a quick announcement regarding:

https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/WaylandOnlyGNOME

The approved version of the change proposal said:

> GDM will no longer support launching X11 sessions. Users of X11 will need to select another login manager and desktop environment that continues to offer X11 (such as LightDM with Cinnamon or MATE).

I've just edited the proposal to remove this text. It's now possible to disable X11 support in GNOME without removing GDM's ability to launch X11 desktops, so I'm going to reenable GDM's support for non-GNOME X11 session launching. The rest of the change proposal is not affected. E.g. since the GDM greeter is a GNOME session, you will not be able to run the greeter itself under X11.

Michael
