Hi,
I've opened 2 bugzilla, for cagefootvt and its dependency userspacevt:
userspacevt:

cagefootvt:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2403019
I've them on my copr for some time here, if you want to test:

I've also made a short presentation at xdc 2025 in Vienna:

Thanks,
I'm curious. How does this handle input configuration?
Cage is based on wlroots, and uses libinput and xkbcommon, so I think it
should work like other wayland compositors. At least my dvorak
international layout is well recognized.
If it uses xkb and implements input switching, I propose we make it the
new distribution default tomorrow.
Yes that's the plan, I will probably make a change proposal, but not
tomorrow, you'll have to wait a bit. Let's have this in the official
repository first, and have more people testing.
If it supports input methods, please let me know where I can send a
large cheque and letter of adulation.
It looks like cage doesn't support it yet:
https://github.com/cage-kiosk/cage/issues/406
I've tested other Wayland/Terminal combo, like gnome-kiosk/ptyxis and
Neal Gompa also provided Kwin/Konsole.
The problem is that ptyxis and Konsole don't have a full-screen kiosk
mode, so are a bit clumsy for this use-case.
So maybe using gnome-kiosk/foot or Kwin/foot, will allow input methods,
and a good full-screen kiosk terminal.
