Hello, I maintain waypipe when time allows: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mstoeckl/waypipe/ https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/waypipe
Upstream waypipe had a big rewrite a couple of versions ago - they still maintain the "old" c version, so I could just update the package by building waypipe-c, but they recommend using the rust version. Thanksfully they've done things well and the protocol is compatible, so there's no need to keep both packages around, and I don't expect any problem just swapping in to the rust version, and folks won't need to update their servers/clients in lockstep. Also thanksfully, things went rather well when I played with the rust packaging a couple of months ago; all the dependencies are packaged in fedora and the build worked (at least locally with this spec[1] -- note it's no longer the latest vestion, I'll need to update again) [1] https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/waypipe/blob/rust-rewrite/f/waypipe.spec It's still a basically completely different package though, so I was wondering if this should go through a new package review or if I can just push the new spec as part of a normal update for rawhide? Either way I'd appreciate if someone has time to have a look :) (Also bonus points if someone tells me what redhat folks think of this, Olivier is basically here for ELN as far as I can tell but didn't reply when I asked; if this is going to be a pain down the line it might be worth keeping both packages just for them) Thanks, -- Dominique Martinet | Asmadeus -- _______________________________________________ devel mailing list -- [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to [email protected] Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/[email protected] Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
