KDE folks have a change proposal on this: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Unified_KDE_OOBE The idea is to have the same out of box experience across (in this case) KDE distros. Which I can understand from the KDE (or Gnome) POV, but: This breaks having the same OOBE across different Fedora spins/editions, of course, and puts pressure on *all* editions to implement this on their own if the major editions do not use that "part of anaconda" any more. Which is why I don't like it. Also, being greeted by something in my user account which lets me complete installation parts makes me feel uneasy. It renders the user/admin distinction as wishy-washy as it is on Windows. We're moving desktop installs to single-user (who is admin) installs. Anyways, as long as I'm upgarding in-place and using sway I don't have to deal with it personally, at least.
