Hi, update on this:

 * gnome-abrt will be removed in Fedora Workstation 44 because nobody
volunteered to maintain it.
 * We are considering removing the ABRT service entirely for Fedora
Workstation 45 [1].

My original thinking was that the ABRT service would still be useful
without the GUI due to the automatic crash reports to the retrace
server. Unfortunately, the retrace server does not yet support Fedora
43, let alone Fedora 44. It stops at Fedora 42. If somebody manages to
get the retrace server working again, I will drop my proposal to
remove the ABRT service. Otherwise, I think it's time to admit defeat.

ABRT is still useful for manually reporting bugs to Red Hat Bugzilla,
but (a) the few users who do this can install ABRT themselves, and (b)
I expect Fedora will migrate issue tracking from Red Hat Bugzilla to
Forgejo sooner rather than later.
