Hello devel-list!
TL;DR: nodejs24 is not providing builds for the i686 architecture;
future streams are not expected to either.

While cleaning my backlog, I realised that we probably never announced
that nodejs24 is not being built for the i686 architecture. We have
received no complaints so far, although it might be because nodejs22
is still considered the "default" nodejs stream in Fedora, so most
packages likely haven't noticed.

So please consider this both an apology for the oversight and a late
heads-up that i686 builds are not planned for any future Node.js
streams, starting with the release stream of nodejs24. The reason for
this is the technical difficulties involved in the builds (as upstream
no longer really tests those) and the overall Fedora attempt of
stopping the builds for the architecture anyway.

To be clear, we do not plan to remove any existing builds from e.g.
nodejs22 – for any release stream that already provides those builds,
we plan to keep building them even for future updates. This relates
only to the more recent major versions of Node.js.

Feel free to reach out if you want to change the planned course, but
please be aware that it might be difficult due to the build
difficulties mentioned above.

Thank you for understanding.
