Hi,
Does anyone know the history of the p7zip and 7zip packages and
respective upstreams? p7zip-plugins was replaced with 7zip in rawhide
which has broken python-extractcode's test suite (19 new test failures).
It looks extractcode does a lot of parsing of the 7z command output
which I guess is not the same between the p7zip-plugins version of 7z
and the 7zip version of 7z.
I'd like to get this problem fixed soon one way or another, since Go
Vendor Tools uses scancode-toolkit (which depends on extractcode) for
license scanning, and the Python 3.15 rebuild is coming up. Is there a
strong reason not to unretire p7zip?
Best,
Maxwell
