Hi,
the evolution-data-server project bumped a soname version of its
libedataserver library in the 3.61.2 release, which I'm preparing for
rawhide. It was for an API change which touches only evolution-ews, but
as it was in the public API the soname was bumped. That means the
dependent packages should rebuild just fine.
According to `dnf repoquery --whatrequires "pkgconfig(libedataserver-
1.2)" --recursive --enablerepo=rawhide-source` the affected packages
are:
almanah
bijiben
bubblemail
calls
chatty
evolution
evolution-ews
evolution-rspam
folks
geary
glabels
gnome-calendar
gnome-contacts
gnome-panel
gnome-phone-manager
gnome-shell
gnome-todo
libreoffice
phosh
pidgin-chime
syncevolution
I do not have commit rights for
bubblemail
gnome-panel
libreoffice
phosh
where I'll need your help with the rebuild. I'll take care of the other
packages myself.
I've a side tag for this, you can use:
fedpkg build --target f45-build-side-145283
to build the package.
The soname version was bumped the last minute before the release, thus
I could not announce it earlier. The only problem I foresee is the
GNOME 51.beta release happening these days, which can make it
problematic for the above packages, when I'll do a build in the side
tag and someone else will do the update directly in the rawhide. I do
not know how these things are usually handled, I'd like to merge the
side tag before the 51.beta updates, but I also understand it's a very
short notice. I'm going to rebuilt the packages I've commit rights for
into the side tag meanwhile. The worst I'll rebuild them again.
