In one week, 2026-08-07, or slightly later, I plan to update rapidyaml from 0.15.2 to 0.16.0 in F45/Rawhide[1]. This is an API- and ABI-incompatible update that changes the SONAME version[2]. A welcome change is that upstream has committed to ABI stability for patch releases in rapidyaml and in c4core.

At the same time, I will update c4project, upstream’s bespoke CMake framework, to a snapshot supporting the new SONAME versioning scheme[3]; I will update the c4core support library from 0.4.0 to 0.6.0[4], which is also ABI-breaking; and I will adjust and rebuild c4fs[5] and c4log[6], which depend on c4core and are used in rapidyaml’s tests.

There is one dependent package, jsonnet. It rebuilt successfully in COPR[7]. I will use provenpackager privilege to rebuild it in the same side tag.
