Vanity addresses like @fedoraproject.org are
problematic because they do not require
strong authentication using a few well trusted
providers, and therefore require very liberal
SPF/DMIK/DMARC settings, which is a
big no-no to the major email services (and
the email will sometimes not be delivered,
or automatically placed into spam/quarantine
folders).

If one wants @fedoraproject.org to work as
an email service, one will need to substantially
invest in running an email service. I don't
think that is, or should be, a priority for this
project.
