Hello, According to the package deprecation policy [1], I am planning to deprecate the atlas package during the next week. The upstream of Atlas has been inactive since 2018, with the last stable release dating back to 2016; the project can be considered abandoned. I am also planning to orphan the package sometime after F46 branching. If anyone is interested in maintaining the package, feel free to message me.
The only package that (Build)Required Atlas -- flexiblas -- has already been updated to remove the dependency [3]. There is also one package that Recommends atlas (xnec2c) [4]; however, since weak dependencies do not prevent the dependent package from functioning, I suppose FESCo approval is not required? I have notified the xnec2c maintainer regardless. Thanks, Jakub [1]: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/deprecating-packages/ [2]: Tested via fedrq whatrequires-src atlas and fedrq whatrequires atlas [3]: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/flexiblas/pull-request/6# [4]: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/xnec2c/blob/rawhide/f/xnec2c.spec
