Below is the summary from yesterday's meeting, with links to logs and
minutes.

Thank you to Aurelien, in all his forms (bot and human) for providing the
summary.

== Key Discussion Points ==

== Announcements: ==

  * The Fedora 45 Final go/no-go meeting is scheduled for October 22nd.
  * A staging instance of Forge has been deployed to investigate bug
tracking needs. The next FRCL meeting on this topic is postponed to
November 11th.
  * The Fedora 45 release party is scheduled for October 30th.

=== Flock 2027 CfP Themes ===

  * There is general agreement on using the "Four Fs" (Freedom, First,
Friends, Features) as the basis for the conference themes.
  * Suggestions from Akashdeep Dhar were positively received, but there was
a concern they might be too long or complex ("tl;dr").
  * A strong desire was expressed for more interactive sessions, such as
workshops, panel discussions, and debates, rather than a schedule dominated
by standard presentations

=== Docs Initiative Extension ===

  * The Docs team requested a six-month extension to their initiative to
focus on deeply embedding documentation within Fedora's organizational
structure and processes, which they see as critical for long-term
sustainability.
  * Goals include expanding the "docs captains" program with SIGs,
integrating release notes more formally into the Change process, and
creating topic-based authoring teams.
  * While the Council is supportive of the Docs team's goals, there seemed
to be consensus to reject the formal "initiative" extension since that
framework has been stood down.
  * A proposal was put forward that instead asks the Council to pledge
direct and continued support to help the Docs team achieve its goals,
acknowledging that documentation needs higher-level governance support. The
exact nature of this support needs further discussion.

==== Action Items ====

* Council members are to review the suggestions from Akashdeep Dhar in the
Flock 2027 CfP ticket, add their own comments, and prepare an initial draft
by the end of October.
* @amoloney will open a ticket with Mindshare and FESCo with the draft CfP
themes when it is ready.
* The proposal to support the Docs team (without a formal initiative
extension) will be added to the relevant ticket for further discussion by
Council members.
