this applies to every thing,

if 00-foo sets foo as the best font for "Arial" and 01-monkey set's a
monkey as the best font for "Arial" then only one will be chosen

same for /etc/profile.d/ if we have 00-ps1.sh and 01-ps1.sh both set
$PS1, of course one of them would work
