The outcome was that a bunch of people were deriding MATE and not wanting it in Fedora.
And this is why after 12 years of Red Hat and Fedora, I'm now moving to Linux Mint. I know I'm going to miss yum, but at least they support Cinnamon and Mate.
I gave Gnome 3 a fair chance from its first release up to Fedora 17 beta, but it still feels like doing my job in spite of the desktop. I wonder why Fedora is pushing Gnome 3 like that...
