I'd call that the app not working, yes.  Symbol conflicts are literally
trivial to find, I'm really not sure why you bring the point up.

Yes, I'm aware of the cost of bundling libraries.  But if the
alternative is not having the application available at all I'm
_entirely_ okay with that cost, because in that scenario what the user
notices is that Fedora is not usable.
