My release doesn't have binary blobs either. It revolves around a
single pipeline (a cleaner design IMO) and is able to perform the
large majority of operations without interrupting that pipeline,
resulting in a much smoother experience. Also comes with some added
bonuses like not powering up the microphone when we're not actually
recording audio.
