Hi, I had a quick look at the VGA to TV adapter Xiangfu sent me a while ago. It implements the connections described at: http://pinouts.ru/VideoCables/matrox_tvout_pinout.shtml except that there is no connection between the DDC pins (12/15).
So the important parts are: 1) Red signal goes to composite (RCA) 2) Green signal goes to luminance (S-Video) 3) Blue signal goes to chrominance (S-Video) 4) We cannot reliably detect a TV adapter cable by looking for the DDC pins connected together.
