Here is something that would make life great for m1 for me: Presentations.

What would be really cool, and another feature for m1 is to be able to
give presentations. I have not tried the built-in pdf reader ,but if
this can go fullscreen and supports color, then I can do this now.
Also, another piece would be to be able to use a mouse, keyboard or
other controller like a usb remote to move around in the document.

This would be the simplest way to give presentations, and I will then
use milkymist to give all my presentations, regardless if its a m1
presentation or not.

Right now I use Inkscape + an extension called sozi to do my
presentations. These presentations are all SVG based with sozi
providing javascript to zoom around between boxes. The other app I
need is a web browser. With these two parts, I could give my normal
presentations [0].

And, one final way would be to have a sequence of images.

My guess is a presentation as pdf would be the quickest solution right
now, and it might work.

My favorite would be the web browser method.

Of course, even cooler if a presentation can be integrated and mixed
live in m1 :)

Let me know if anyone else likes this and let me know what works or
doesn't work.

Another point about this is that by having an additional function as
dedicated presentation box, it allows conferences and events to have
one less computer. If all a presenter has to do is plug in a USB stick
with a pdf on it and they can present, then one less box to have for
some. Also, it makes demo'ing m1 even better sense I can demo it with
slides and mixing all at the same time.

I have more meetings this week about the m1.

Cheerz!
Jon

[0] Although I helped start Inkscape, I don't develop on it anymore.
So, by using it for presentations I hopefully expose more people to
Inkscape. I think dogfooding m1 will also be invaluable in spreading
thew m1 news.
