Maybe you've run into that script bug that tries to grab standby.fpg from http://milkymist.org/updates/current/ and flashes a zero-length file if it doesn't exist... I have just uploaded standby.fpg, please try again. Bonus, you'll get that "auto-ON" feature (e.g. no need to press middle button again) that Wolfgang has kept asking about for a while *g*
By the way, you can also update by transferring files via FTP and click "Update from files" in the GUI. This way you do not need to open the case, install JTAG tools, and risk "bricking" your M1 (the rescue mode should always work even after a failed GUI reflash).
