hi,

just upgraded to the latest firmware. needed the fullscreen video-in
display, as using the MM1 as RCA to VGA converter currently as its main
function.

Some issues I stumbled over:

 * web upgrade refused to work (previous firmware was 1.1 AFAIR).
although newer firmware 1.2 version was detected, pressing "update from
web" displayed "error downloading bitstream" or something

 * used 'reflash_m1.sh --qi' instead, which worked

 * after upgrade, filesystem was broken, symptom: no config
saved/restored between reboots. ls /ssd/patches showes "permission
error", ah, this error was mentioned here. With some help by
kristianpaul on irc, i managed to reformat via (IIRC)

  unmount /ssd
  erase /dev/flash5,

then reboot. Then enter web upgrade, which successfully reinstalled
files on /ssd (so "update from web" at least partially working with
 1.2).

 * new firmware doesn't allow me to exit patch via mouse click. i don't
have a keyboard connected, so this sort of "bricked" my M1. BTW MM1
does not work with frog pad nor with alpha grip [1,2] keyboards. So
much for small form factor keyboards (and don't have another unused
 keyboard here).

cheers,

David
