Hi,

let's first make sure it is not only your channel that has fluctuations. Do you 
have the same behavior when using an AP-client link?

Also the information in the station dump only shows the current link situation, 
but not the whole picture. For more details you can have a look at the rate 
control stats file in debugfs [1] (if you are using ath9k). So first transfer 
some MByte of data, then check the rc_stats output and maybe post it here to 
verify.
