I think I could do this for you. I have an Exchange 2007 SP1 box with my
mailbox on it, and all the other mailboxes are on an Exchange 2003 SP2 box.
Only thing is I don't know what I'm doing with regards to setting up the
profile.
I should think the easiest test would be to create an openchange mapi profile
for Administrator, whose mailbox is on Exchange 2003, but with the profile
pointing at the Exchange 2007 box, and the same in reverse for Carl (whose
mailbox is on 2007, but I'd create the profile pointing to the 2003 box).
Any chance of a quick rundown of how to create the profile properly? and then
how to remove that profile and create another. It might be interesting to see
if the 2003 box gives a different redirect response to the 2007 box.

Sorry I can't "just do it". I'm only here for the Evolution plugin for now, so
although I find this project exciting and am a big fan, I haven't actually
played with anything.

cheers,
Carl

Subject: [openchange][devel] Need help with OpenMsgStore (0x478) -
EcWrongServer

Hi List,

I have been working on updating OpenChange IDL and stack to be more
tolerant to special responses such as the "Logon redirect buffer
response" which is associated to the 0x478 EcWrongServer error.

This error occurs when the user mailbox has been moved to another server
(typical use case: clustered Exchange server). I have a working
implementation between mapiproxy and openchangeclient.

However it doesn't work between Outlook and mapiproxy which presumably
means something is incorrect.

The point is that I do not have any clustered Exchange server I can play
with and do not have any wireshark capture or mapiproxy dump that would
give me the details I need.

Could someone encountering this error provide me some logs so I can
improve OpenChange implementation?

Requirements:
        1. When you run openchangeclient, you encounter a 0x478
        (EcWrongServer) error.

Procedure:
        1. Run openchangeclient with no arguments
        2. Save the wireshark capture

Cheers,
Julien.
