Sorry I was not clear. I cleaned up the tree(it is fresh install). I have no fossil/old samba anywhere. I am sure of it. No package install or distro stuff. Dead sure. The funny thing is that the build goes through fine with my host machine with all sorts of historical data and libs but my fresh VM running qemu wouldn't work. Sigh.
