this is a common problem with projects.om.org - ssh+svn hangs. i've been bitten
by it multiple times. joachim has had to just reboot or restart services. as
projects is scheduled for death - i've moved my source off projects now to my
own SVN. at least i know my own SVN is going to maintained by me and the E
team - and has such a huge blob of code in it... it's not going to be dead long
before it's fixed up by someone... (and that someone can even be me!) :)

as such - projects.om.org is desired to go as its gforge base is a bit
abandoned, and the solutions bandied about have been "use google code or
sourceforge etc."... so as the solution is to use someone elses infra. i know
i'll use my own :)
