Hi Ettore, yes I have a nvidia (GK208M aka. GeForce GT 730M [10de:1290]) and an intel (4th generation graphics controller [8086:0416]) graphics adapter in this laptop. I already tried nouveau, nv, vesa and nvidia as driver. All of them don't work. The ASUS Laptop has two ATI based cards. You mentioned that these problems are well known. Why did the sabayon maintainers decide to roll out this instable software? I think a lot of other users will have similar problems. A not functional X renders most desktop computers almost useless. LightDm and lxdm are no options as kde doesn't came up with them too...

The video group doesn't work for everybody.
