Thanks Brad for the quick response. Since I dont have neither openchangeclient nor mapiprofile, I can agree with you that installing the Fedora packages isnt working out!
So I installed Intrepid and went about compiling samba4, libmapi and evolution-data-server... all from svn/git. Unfortunately, I get a compile error at the last step: In file included from /usr/include/dcerpc.h:32, from /usr/include/libmapi/libmapi.h:46, from exchange-mapi-connection.h:30, from exchange-mapi-folder.c:25: /usr/include/ndr.h:404: error: expected declaration specifiers or '...' before 'comparison_fn_t' exchange-mapi-folder.c: In function 'exchange_mapi_peek_folder_list': exchange-mapi-folder.c:132: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break strict-aliasing rules exchange-mapi-folder.c:135: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break strict-aliasing rules exchange-mapi-folder.c: In function 'exchange_mapi_folder_list_free': exchange-mapi-folder.c:164: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break strict-aliasing rules exchange-mapi-folder.c:173: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break strict-aliasing rules exchange-mapi-folder.c: In function 'exchange_mapi_folder_list_add': exchange-mapi-folder.c:183: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break strict-aliasing rules exchange-mapi-folder.c:190: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break strict-aliasing rules exchange-mapi-folder.c:198: warning: dereferencing type-punned pointer will break strict-aliasing rules make[3]: *** [exchange-mapi-folder.lo] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/nt271/temp/mapi/connector/EXCHANGE_MAPI_BRANCH/servers/mapi' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/nt271/temp/mapi/connector/EXCHANGE_MAPI_BRANCH/servers' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/nt271/temp/mapi/connector/EXCHANGE_MAPI_BRANCH' make: *** [all] Error 2 Nic On Tue, Aug 19, 2008 at 1:30 PM, Brad Hards <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On Tuesday 19 August 2008 09:00:40 pm Nicolas Tetreault wrote: >> I have installed the debs available for samba4 (august 12), samba4-libs >> (july 18) and libmapi (august 12) from >> http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/msuman:/evolution-mapi-prov >>ider/Debian_Etch/i386/ >> >> then installed evolution-mapi (august 12) from RPMs using alien from >> http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/msuman:/evolution-mapi-prov >>ider/Fedora_9/i386/ > This may not be a good idea.
