I do not know if someone is going to read this e-mail but I think it worth
trying.
Well, I'm a French student and I am developping a device driver for a usb
mouse designed for 3D motion applications under Linux (such as MEDINA,
Taquide, etc...).
Our prototype uses 6 REAL degrees of freedom and I had troubles while
interfacing my driver with X.
I would have liked to know how X reacts to the additional buttons and/or
additionnal axis.
Actually, I've been a bit frustrated by the lack of details of the XFree
user-guide and that's why I am sending you this email.
