Hi There

I have been trying to do a linux framebuffer device driver for the
silicon motion lynx3DM chip (as part of an assignment).

I am able to detect the chip, set it up, program it so that the
framebuffer appears as wanted (for instance 800x600-24bit), but the
TFT screen on my laptop (my development hardware) remains in 640x480 mode.

That means that I see a 800x600 framebuffer through a window --- not
exactly what I wanted.

Can anybody in here provide suggestions? help? insight into the
finer details of the flat-panel interface of the lynx chips?

Regards Thomas, Denmark
