I think it is, but have not gotten 100% confirmation from the person who reported that. The 1-line fix does make the unexpected extension go away (as well as the problem that valgrind reports at the same time). The other fixes are less critical (aside from an improvement to uxterm, they're all things that I found myself). -- Thomas E.
