           Summary: symbol for EAK print keys and PrintScreen is the
 same Product: XFree86 Server
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: minor
          Priority: P2
         Component: XKB
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

[4.3.99.902]

Symbol for many Easy Access Keyboard's "print" key is defined as
 Print, for example in 1207th line of xkb/symbols/inet:
    key <FK17>  {       [ Print                 ]       };      // F7

whereas in xkb/symbols/pc/pc there is
    key <PRSC> {

        type= "PC_SYSRQ",

        symbols[Group1]= [ Print, Sys_Req ]

    };

It leads to situation where two physical keys are mapped to the same
 logical symbol, which makes it unable to bind them independently.

I suggest to remap all Print keys in xkb/symbols/inet to another
 symbol. If there is no standard symbol like this, it should be
 XF86Print, or something similar. (I'm not sure whether there is a
 specific table for symbols, or a symbol could be just any atom.)

I could supply a patch if the bug is agreed to be a problem and the
 solution to be acceptable.
