OK. I'm using that mga_maven.h file. I'm using XFree86 cvs, and had to comment out the line if (!pMga->Maven_Bus->I2CStart(pMga->Maven_Bus, pMga->Maven->ByteTimeout)) return FALSE; since I2CStart isn't in the _I2CBusRec struct in this i2c/xf86i2c.h I assume your patch was against DRI cvs ? This is an AGP G400 with two VGA outputs (there is also a Millennium in a PCI slot, and the motherboard has an i815, which is disabled by installing an AGP card, hence the huge number of layouts and screens in my config file). I only have one monitor. Connecting it to the second head with config file http://homepage.ntlworld.com/a.c.aitchison/XF86Config-4.log.G400-DH and running layout DualG400 I get logfile http://homepage.ntlworld.com/a.c.aitchison/XFree86.0.log.G400-DH I get no picture on the second head :-(, but I do get DDC info for the monitor. (If I comment out the "NoHal" lines and use HAL, I do get a picture on both heads, so something is right in my config :-).
