I like the vim modelines too. My vim config defaults to ts=8 and sw=4 anyway but doesn't default to expandtab. So its helpful to me for that. They also reduce the risk of any random contributor (who uses vim) messing up the formatting. > I have no wish to add emacs modelines to the sources. Ok.
