There no longer is a problem as stated above. Ahmad.Khalifa has written his own Bidi implementation (miniBidi) and so we avoided any major issues relating to GPL/LGPL and MIT. So unless you are interested in how to solve this problem for any potential OTHER projects then go for it, but there is no PuTTY component as of now that relates to this issue.
