Possibly it is not something OpenZFS cares about directly, but bit 61 is used by pool version 30 "encryption" in Solaris. (If we are referring to spa.h's BP_GET). Perhaps there are another free bit that could be picked, unless OpenZFS is saying such a (Solaris compatible) feature will never be supported.
